VIEWING AND RECORDING THE SAME
PROGRAM
You can only watch the same TV program that is being recorded.
NOTE: You may not have good results if you try to record a video game, or computer generated display, etc.
Insert a blank cassette, or one that you want to record

If ne,cessary, rewind or fast
forward the tape to the point
you want to start recording.
Make sure the TIMER REC. indicator is off. If it lights
up, press POWER button to turn on the TV/VCR.

Select the channel to be re-
corded by using the number
button or the CHANNEL
or button.
Press REC button. Record-
ing indicator lights up.

To skip some material while you are re-
cording:
Press PAUSE/STILL button .....
on the remote control to tem-
porarily stop recording. Re-
cording indicator light
blinks.
NOTES:
If the TV/VCR is left in the Pause/Still mode for
more than 5 minutes while Recording, it will auto-
matically switch to the Recording mode.
When in the Pause/Still mode, a display showing 5
11" marks will appear on the screen. Each 'l"mark
represents one minute of Pause time. You may refer
to this display for remaining pause time available.
If"CLOSED CAPTION [ON]" is selected from the
"CLOSED CAPTION SET UP" menu, the On
Screen Display will appear for 5 seconds, then dis-
appear.
If you want to check the remaining pause time avail-
able using the On Screen Display, press SELECT
button. The On Screen Display will appear for 5 sec-
onds.

REC button to resume re-
cording.

Press STOP button when recording is completed.
